Altamont Joins the Western North Carolina Green Building Council

Altamont recently became a silver business member of the Western North Carolina Green Building Council (WNCGBC).  The council is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote environmentally sustainable and health-conscious building practices through community education in Western North Carolina.  Lisa Manning, PE, LEED AP BD&C, a project engineer with Altamont said “It seems like a natural fit for Altamont to join the WNCGBC, since many of the projects we work on in Western North Carolina—such as landfill gas recovery and reuse, brownfields redevelopment, ecological restoration, and environmental remediation—are directly in line with enhancing the sustainability and health of the environment.”  Altamont looks forward to future involvement with the WNCGBC and hopes that our projects and experiences will help further knowledge of sustainable practices in Western North Carolina.
