Altamont Sponsors Social Event for NC Bar Association Environmental Group

The North Carolina Bar Association’s Environmental, Energy, and Natural Resources Section held its annual meeting in Asheville in late April.  Altamont sponsored the main social event for the gathering, which included dinner, music, and square dancing at Hickory Nut Gap Farm in Fairview, NC.  Altamont has been pleased to sponsor this event biannually because it provides Altamont an opportunity to introduce ourselves to environmental lawyers from across the state in an informal venue that showcases many of the things we cherish about living and working in Western North Carolina.  Hickory Nut Gap farm is a family-owned business that engages sustainable agriculture practices and raises animals in their natural environments to provide high-quality, ethically raised meats.  The Environmental, Energy, and Natural Resources Section provides a forum for collegial interaction among North Carolina environmental lawyers from the three sectors.  Membership in the section is also offered to non-lawyer environmental professionals and legal assistants.
