Altamont Drills at Green Energy Park

Altamont's project engineer Paul Dow coordinates and manages the installation of four new landfill gas extraction wells at the closed Dillsboro Landfill in Jackson County, North Carolina.  The wells were installed to supplement the original nine landfill gas extraction wells, which were installed in 2005 to supply methane to the Green Energy Park (GEP).  According to Timm Muth, GEP Director, “It’s important because it will allow us to maximize our gas supply here at the GEP. We’ll be able to run all of our equipment at the same time and have more artists working at the GEP creating beautiful works of art, which helps to attract tourists to Jackson County."  Articles regarding the project can be found in the Asheville Citizen-Times and the Macon County News.
