Altamont Takes Steps to Conserve Resources

Altamont is now printing documents using ecofont.  Ecofont is a font that uses up to 20% less ink.  Less ink consumption increases the longevity of ink toner cartridges.  The reduced ink consumption is achieved by creating small holes in the font characters.  You can download the font for free at http://www.ecofont.eu

Additionally, Altamont is using paper that is produced using responsible stewardship practices.  Those sustainable practices are certified through a variety of independent organizations, each of which ensures that each component of the paper production process (from forest to harvest to manufacture to distribution) is responsible and carried out in a manner that conserves resources and minimizes environmental impact.

Our copy paper is a minimum 30% post-consumer waste and is certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®), the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Brazilian Forest Certification Standard (Cerflor).
