Air Quality and Spill Prevention Planning and Permitting

Altamont was retained by Baldor Electric Company to prepare Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans for facilities in North Carolina and South Carolina.  In addition, one of these facilities required the creation of a Hazardous Waste Management Plan.  Altamont staff conducted site visits, interviewed facility managers, and reviewed supporting documentation.  Specific attention was given to developing location maps, identifying standard operating procedures with respect to petroleum products, and locating spill response products.  All pertinent information, based on 40 CFR Parts 110 and 112, was documented in the final SPCC Plan.  Additionally, Altamont provided Baldor Electric Company with recommendations concerning improvements to petroleum storage systems and training programs.
