Altamont was retained by Dodge-Rockwell Automation to prepare Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans for facilities in North and South Carolina. In addition, one of these facilities required the creation of a Hazardous Waste Management Plan. Altamont staff conducted site visits, interviewed facility managers, and reviewed supporting documentation. Specific attention was given to developing location maps, identifying standard operating procedures with respect to petroleum products, and locating spill response products. All pertinent information, based on 40 CFR Parts 110 and 112, was documented in the final SPCC Plan. Additionally, Altamont provided Dodge-Rockwell Automation with recommendations concerning improvements to petroleum storage systems and training programs.

Altamont was charged with conducting all site visits, interviews, and document reviews during facility working hours, while minimizing disruption to daily operations. We were able to mobilize to the sites and complete environmental compliance activities in an efficient and low-profile manner. Additionally, the project required the preparation of SPCC Plans that were easy to read and understand by facility employees. Altamont has been commended on the organization and accessibility of information in our plans.
