Altamont's staff of professional geologists, engineers, and environmental specialists have successfully completed Phase I and Phase II environmental assessments for numerous industrial and commercial sites of varying complexity. Our experience includes assessment, remediation, and closure of multiple state-led and federal-led CERCLA and RCRA projects. We are very familiar with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and we use this knowledge to assist our clients in cost-effective closure of environmental issues.
Altamont has completed environmental assessment and remediation of all types of contaminated media (e.g., soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air). Our environmental project experience ranges from relatively straighforward Phase I and II Site Investigations to contaminant fate and transport modeling, remedial system design, installation, operation, and maintenance. We have experience with a wide range of contaminants including more exotic compounds such as explosives, perchlorate, PCBs, and pesticides as well as more common contaminants such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and petroleum products. Our broad range of project experience includes chemical manufacturing and processing, munitions manufacturing and processing, pulp and paper, steel manufacturing, solid waste disposal facilities, petroleum refining and distribution, food processing, and agricultural production sites. Altamont has successfully designed and implemented a variety of in situ techniques, including enhanced in situ bioremediation, to address contaminated soil and groundwater in a variety of geologic settings. Our staff mix allows us to cost-effectively design, install, and operate both in situ and ex situ remediation systems.
