Altamont provides Civil and Environmental Engineering services to private industry as well as local and county governments. Engineering is a common element in nearly all of our projects and the services we provide in this area are wide-ranging. Altamont currently provides contract management and construction oversight services for many of our clients. Our services include development of requests for proposals (RFPs) for specialized design, construction and vendor services, including the preparation of supporting documentation such as design drawings and specifications. On many projects we represent our clients throughout the procurement process with items such as review of proposals for technical merit, completeness, and relevant qualifications; interviews; and contract negotiation. Altamont’s involvement continues during the construction phase where we serve as owner representative providing construction oversight, quality control testing, documentation, and project cost management services.

In response to the growing awareness of stormwater non-point source pollution issues, Altamont has developed an effective team of engineers, ecologists, landscape architects and construction experts to implement and design ecological restoration and stormwater best management practices (BMPs) from the conceptual phase through construction, including monitoring and maintenance. Specific services include surface water flow control design and implementation, regulatory permitting procedures and requirements, sediment and erosion control BMPs, and aesthetically pleasing native landscape design and construction.
