For example, at a Superfund site Altamont is coordinating detailed negotiations between USEPA and the NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources to transfer a complex site managed under both CERCLA and RCRA to one regulatory agency, a process which has been undertaken at a limited number of sites in the United States. For another client, Altamont is completing compliance audits at multiple facilities throughout a large geographic area.

Altamont personnel provide reporting and permitting services for industrial discharges (e.g., NPDES Permits, Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plans, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans, and air discharge permits) and manage Underground Storage Tank permitting, assessment, and closure.
